The Brazilian Soil Spectral Service (BraSpecS): A User-Friendly System for Global Soil Spectra Communication

چکیده
Although many Soil Spectral Libraries (SSLs) have been created globally, these libraries still not operationalized for end-users. To address this limitation, study an online Brazilian Service (BraSpecS). The system was based on the Library (BSSL) with samples collected in Visible–Near–Short-wave infrared (vis–NIR–SWIR) and Mid-infrared (MIR) ranges. interactive platform allows users to find spectra, act as custodians of data, estimate several soil properties classification. tested by 500 65 international users. Users accessed (besbbr.com.br), uploaded their received organic carbon (SOC) clay content prediction results via email. BraSpecS provided good but performed variably other countries. Prediction countries outside Brazil using local spectra (External Country Libraries, ExCSSL) mostly showed greater performance than BraSpecS. Clay R2 ranged from 0.5 (BraSpecS) 0.8 (ExCSSL) vis–NIR–SWIR, MIR models were more accurate most situations. development external fusion BSSL formed Global (GSSL). GSSL improved different Nevertheless, proposed needs be continually updated new so they can applied broadly. Accordingly, is dynamic, contribute data will adapt information. Our community-driven web predict attributes without learning spectral modeling, which invite end-users utilize powerful technique.

Soft Soil Seismic Design Spectra Including Soil-structure Interaction
Design spectrum is known as an essential tool in earthquake engineering for calculation of maximum (design) responses in a structural system. Soil-structure interaction (SSI), as a phenomenon of coupling of responses of a structure and its underlying soil, was explored after introduction of design spectra and has not been taken into account in developing a design spectrum traditionally. To cons...

The soil or background spectra contribution to grass canopy spectral reflectance for the 0.35 to 0.80 fJ-m region was investigated using in situ collected spectral reflectance data. Regression analysis was used to estimate accurately the unexposed soil spectral reflectance and to quantify maxima and minima for soil-green vegetation reflection contrasts. generally be impractical to take detailed...

متن کاملMaking Global Illumination User-friendly
Global illumination researchers tend to think in terms of mesh density and sampling frequency, and their software reflects this in its user interface. Advanced rendering systems are rife with long command lines and parameters for tuning the sample densities, thresholds and other algorithm-specific variables, and the novice user is quickly lost in a sea of possibilities. This paper details a suc...
متن کاملBrazilian Cerrado Soil Actinobacteria Ecology
A total of 2152 Actinobacteria strains were isolated from native Cerrado (Brazilian Savannah) soils located in Passos, Luminárias, and Arcos municipalities (Minas Gerais State, Brazil). The soils were characterised for chemical and microbiological analysis. The microbial analysis led to the identification of nine genera (Streptomyces, Arthrobacter, Rhodococcus, Amycolatopsis, Microbacterium, Fr...
